The letter
Customers ask to pay by card when I hand them an invoice or when they walk up to the counter. I do not want a whole new system. I need something that works with what I already use and does not make me learn a developer tool.
Cash and checks still work, but more people want to tap or pay from the invoice link.
A customer can pay on the spot or from the invoice I already send, and the payment shows up where I track money.
Stacked like notes on the desk. Links open someone else's site.
Turned on Square Invoices with a pay link on each invoice. Counter tap-to-pay uses the same Square account on a phone.
Still manual: You still create the invoice in Square and send it yourself.
Cost: Square card fee applies per charge.
Used a Stripe Payment Link on a simple page and pasted that link into the invoice email the shop already sends.
Still manual: You still write the invoice email; the link is just the pay button.
Cost: Stripe processing fee per payment.
